Bay 6 Recordings launches ‘Calibrate’

But what’s a Calibrate? What does it all mean?! Well…. Here at Bay 6 HQ, we’ve been toying with the idea of a ‘sister’ label for a long time now, and we finally felt like the time was right to do it. Over the years, Bay 6 has gone from being an open door of flexibility in terms of Drum & Bass, to being quite cemented in it’s style of Liquid. Whilst it’s fantastic for us to be recognised for a style and have consistency, if we’re being honest with you, in some ways it’s limited the music we’ve been able to say ‘yes’ to, and there’s been some damn good demo’s.

So, we’re launching Calibrate Records. A new platform, that will not only focus on Darker, more experimental Drum & Bass and Jungle, but open back up that door of versatility, and allow any artist that decides to work with us to feel completely free to experiment! We have a number of our Bay 6 artists working on music for the new imprint, and also some new faces as well. We’re completely open to demo’s via the usual methods – in fact, we encourage it.

More news and music to unfold over the coming weeks. For now, I’d like to thank each and every one of you for supporting Bay 6 this far – and by no means does this mean that Bay 6 will slow down… But for now, here’s to something new! (Oh and be sure to follow all the new socials, thanks!)
